Natural Anti Aging and Rosacea Blog
I have suffered from Rosacea for about 18 years now so am super interested in any product or supplement that might help. This is how MiSMo began. Recently I've gone back to using Cell Soother morning and night, followed by Rejuvenating Gel, ACE Serum, Anti-Wrinkle Cream and Eye Cream complex. Sounds a lot but it only takes a few moments. I believe Cell Soother has made an enormous difference. Nowhere near as many breakouts, improved skin health and texture. Here at MiSMo we say, Cell Soother = healthy skin and there are very sound reasons for this. Containing 15% MSM and a high amount of Organic Aloe Vera,...Read More
Alpha Hydroxy Acids (or AHA's) are derived from milk or fruit sugars. There are quite a few out there however, the most common Alpha Hydroxy Acids used in skincare are lactic and glycolic acid. BHA's are Beta Hydroxy acids, excellent for dissolving blocked pores. Ok, so what do AHA's do? AHA’s serve a threefold purpose. To exfoliate, moisturise and reduce wrinkles. And these aren’t any hollow claims either, these magical little ingredients actually deliver on their promises. Alpha Hydroxy Acids are an ingredient that are scientifically proven to achieve results and genuinely penetrate the skin accordingly to produce the desired outcomes. And...Read More
To help treat Rosacea we give an insight to a rarely discussed aspect of this condition – exfoliation. For anyone who has Rosacea and endured redness, associated pimples, lumps and bumps for a length of time you will know the frustrations and upset of waking to a new break out. So many people with this problem are over 40 or 50 when we expect these bad skin experiences to be over. There is no cure for Rosacea, only control. Not everyone has the same symptoms although all sufferers have redness. Some people get pimples of varying degrees from a few bumps under the skin...Read More
Exfoliating earlier in life could be the key to lessening the severity of certain skin problems occurring like acne later down the track.
Removing old skin is vital to healthy looking and blemish free skin, because if left unchecked, it will trap toxins, dirt and oils that will cause clogged
pores which in turn leads to blackheads, white heads and acne.
By incorporating a regular exfoliating routine once pimples begin to appear on the skin in the pre-teen years, gives skin a great chance at avoiding breakouts
and re-ocurring facial skin problems.
We’ve all been well-trained that our skin needs regular cleansing, moisturising, and protection from the sun, but are you missing a vital step in your routine that could improve your skin health even further? Your skin cells regenerate about every 30 days, meaning that old skin cells die off and are replaced by new ones. The older cells form an outer layer, and will make your skin look more dull and wrinkled, or worse - clog your pores and encourage pimples. Removing these old cells by exfoliation or microdermabrasion will not only give your skin a smoother appearance, but will also aid in the penetration and effectiveness of your skin care products. Because...Read More
Microbeads are small particles of plastic, some variations hardly visible to the naked eye, which are added to thousands of cosmetic and personal care products throughout the world. They can be made from polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) or nylon (check the ingredients!). Sometimes they are added to help exfoliation, other times they are simply there for decoration. Because of their tiny size, they are not able to be filtered by wastewater treatment plants, and therefore flow freely into our rivers and oceans. Here they are eaten or absorbed by sea creatures, and are passed along the marine food chain until they reach our dinner plate....Read More

This is a little trick I picked up recently and it seems to work really well. Many of us have two problems either at the same time or separately. Large pores and/or clogged pores on the face which usually result from oily skin. Why don't you try my solution below it has worked for many people - and hopefully will be the solution for you. The routine: Once a day for 1 week, exfoliate with a granular exfoliator such as Natural Exfoliator or MicroDerm Resurfacing Cream treatment followed by cleansing with Daily Face Wash which is an Alpha hydroxy acid cleanser. The grains in Natural Exfoliator or...Read More
Different names on creams can be very confusing to ordinary souls like myself so that means lots of others scratch their heads too. Exfoliating cream or exfoliant are the same. Usually this means a cream (often a cleanser) base with the addition of some type of bead. Quality beads are spherical with no rough edges to scratch the skin. Exfoliating creams usually have a small granule, which when massaged over the skin goes some way to moving off dead skin cells. Dead cells can be stubborn little devils to move as nature has them glued together to protect the skin. Dead skin cells tend to make skin look dull and without radiance. Resurfacing creams are a more heavy duty product. They will often...Read More
