I don’t know about you, but I’m sick of using skin care that offers ‘brighter skin’ or ‘more even skin tone’ or ‘finer lines’, but I never really notice a difference. However despite not believing they are really doing anything, I would still rather use something than nothing, so I keep using them (and buying them over and over again).
Although I’ve had my fair share of skin problems during my teens, I never stopped and thought about what I was putting on my skin – rather I was sucked in by the pretty packages, beautiful models, sweet fragrances or their promises of clear skin. Until joining MiSMo Body Care, I never thought to read the ingredients on the back of the packet – but why would I? I wouldn’t know what they were let alone what they did?
Below is a just a touch of what I’ve learnt, to help you understand what MiSMo has in their skin care range and what these active ingredients do to give you REAL results! You should also know that while other companies may list these ingredients as being in their products, they don’t always include the quantity needed to give results, as MiSMo does. All active ingredients listed below have been tested to be produced in the right formulation to ensure visible results.
Hyaluronic Acid – King of hydrators, replaces lost moisture in extra cellular matrix and the epidermal layer, plumps cells, reduces redness and softens the skin. Found in: Rejuvenating Gel, Anti-Wrinkle Cream & New Age Moisturiser.
MSM – softens cells walls, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, improves collagen bonds, stimulates the formation of new healthy skin cells. Found in: Natural Face Exfoliator, Natural Face Cleanser, Daily Face Wash, Anti-Wrinkle Cream, New Age Moisturiser, Nourishing Cream, Boost, Cell Soother, Blemish Gel, PHP Mask and Magnesium Gel Forte.
Organic Aloe Vera – helps with cell regeneration, promotes exfoliation and calms the skin. Found in: Natural Face Exfoliator, Natural Face Cleanser, Rejuvenating Gel, New Age Moisturiser, Nourishing Cream, Cell Soother, Blemish Gel, PHP Treatment Mask and Magnesium Gel Forte.
Matrixyl Synthe 6 – encourages the production of collagen and elastin involved in restructuring and repair of skin cells, hence it’s anti-ageing properties. Found in: Rejuvenating Gel
Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate (Vitamin C)– Oil soluble form of Vitamin C, the most effective and non-irritating form. This Vitamin C is a potent anti-oxidant which stimulates the production of collagen and strengthens skin tissue. From the production of new healthy skin cells, and increase in elasticity, skin appears brighter and pigmentation is reduced. Found in: Anti-Wrinkle Cream and ACE Serum.
Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A) – Easily absorbed into the skin. Vitamin A is an anti-oxidant which protects from free radicals, such as sun damage and ageing. Found in: Eye Cream Complex, ACE Serum and Blemish Gel.
Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) – An anti-oxidant which increases the effectiveness of Vitamins C and A. Combats free radicals and acts as a natural preservative to ensure the freshness and stability of oils.
Aldavine – promotes drainage of lymphatic fluid that makes eyes puffy, it also reduces dark circles. Found in: Eye Complex Cream
Although there is obviously a lot more ingredients that work in synergy together to produce results, the above gives you a broad understanding on some of the active ingredients that are used. A lot of research and clinical trials by chemists have been used to perfect MiSMo’s products.
