This Magnesium Chloride hexahydrate powder is food grade pure magnesium powder suitable for use as Magnesium Oil, foot soaks and baths. Magnesium Chloride is absorbed by the body very easily, through the skin, bypassing the digestive system.

There are many forms of Magnesium powders, including Magnesium Oxide, Magnesium Sulfate, Magnesium Citrate, Magnesium Lactate and Magnesium Chloride. This information is about Magnesium Chloride Powder only.

MiSMo Magnesium Chloride powder is food grade, pure, magnesium chloride hexahydrate extracted from pristine sea water. 1 gram of magnesium chloride powder contains 120 milligrams (mgs) of elemental magnesium. There are 1,000 milligrams in 1 gram

The daily recommended dosage of elemental Magnesium is approximately 400mg but magnesium deficient people need more. There are several ways to get magnesium into your body.  Below is a description of food soaks, applying as Magnesium oil  and our MiSMo magnesium gel.

Magnesium Oil: To make magnesium chloride powder into magnesium oil to apply to body, add 50 grams magnesium powder to 50mls warm drinkable distilled water. Store in a spray bottle for ease of use. Apply to the body (legs, feet, arms, tummy, back) as needed. Inner thighs, inner arms and under arms are great locations for absorbsion too.  This will be a very strong 50% mix. Many magnesium oils on the market contain around 30% magnesium chloride so you can experiment with this mix.

Magnesium Oil may sting a little the first couple of times although the skin quickly adapts. You can dilute the solution by 1-1 with pure water if necessary. If the skin is sticky or itchy after use, simply wash off after about 25 minutes. The benefits will have been achieved by then.

Magnesium Oil is not an oil but a concentrated mix of Magnesium Chloride suspended in water. The liquid feels like oil resulting in the name magnesium oil.

** Distilled drinkable water is available from supermarkets in the water aisle. Moore or Noble are two brands. Cost is about $4 for 5 litres.

For a foot soak: Soak you feet for 20- 25 minutes. You can use either Magnesium chloride powder or magnesium oil you have mixed.

Magnesium Chloride Powder: Use 1/4 cup added to very warm water in a foot spa or bucket of water. The solution may be reused but you will have to reheat it.

Magnesium oil in foot soak: If the oil is at a 50/50 rate use half a cup in very warm water.

As a body lotion or gel: Use MiSMo Magnesium Gel Forte a luxurious gel that doubles as a body lotion.

TIP!  Have a headache you can't move? Add a few tablespoons of Magnesium chloride powder to a hot bath and soak for 20 minutes. You will also enjoy a peaceful sleep afterwards.
